Let the singers get thier money from singing in weddings & concerts.. graduation parties if they don't like it sue me |

with:
i only download english songs and movies (coz i dont listen to arabic music and the movies i see on tV) coz buying them here are sooooooooooo expensive ( i wont buy a CD for like 150 EGP) bara bytba3 be like 20 USD (to them 20 USD is liek 20 EGP here) but i cant convert the 20 USD to EGP to buy the tape. as for moves, mesh kol el movies betnzel hena, wel DVD expensive + i only downlaod them after mykono nezlo we khalas . -------------------- |

all over the world now have stoppend downloading, coz they can sue anyone who downlaods..rarely do so. also i know someone who said that he buy music online instead of downloading them. i guess if this was cheap here in egypt i would have bought them online. -------------------- |

Actually CD'S are sold from a range of 5$ to 10.00.. Even you can get used or brand new from auction sites like ebay.. amazon.. half-life.. craiglist El -hobl bas they buy it for 20 bucks from expensive retail stores They charge extra in Egypt for custom taxes.. |

i don't actually download that much out of laziness and fear of viruses mainly (and maybe a little guilt?). I don't think the producers shouldn't get any money for their work but, in fairness, the CDs etc are so over priced I'm surprised anyone ever buys anything! plus a lot of music just isn't available on the market which mostly consists of pirated copies anyhow..unless you buy from Diwan or something like that. the entertainment industry is not the same here as it is in the west. things aren't monitored in the first place so it doesn't make sense to get upset over internet downloads.
afterthought: Maybe the overpricing is to make up for the losses they expect to have like with Microsoft software? -------------------- the music of the poet's heart; fuels the science, inflames the art
